128 CORPORATE ALLIANCE

COMPANY SYNOPSIS

The 128 Corporate Alliance is a nonprofit organization bringing together companies located along the central Route 128 corridor outside Boston.

BUSINESS QUESTION

Companies located in this important area of suburban Boston were facing increasing infrastructure challenges including traffic, power interruptions and other challenges presented by rapid growth. These issues effect both company operations and employees alike. Individual companies were becoming increasingly frustrated with the lack of response from state and local officials. T3 Advisors formed the 128 Corporate Alliance to address the needs of these important employers and deal with a variety of challenges as a single voice.

APPLIED BUSINESS APPROACH

T3 Advisors formed the Council in 2009, with founding members Adobe Systems, Fresenius Medical Care, ImmunoGen, Inc, Massachusetts Medical Society, National Grid, PerkinElmer, Inc, and QinetiQ/Foster-Miller. These companies employ nearly 4,000 along the 128 corridor. The council has already held important meetings with state and local officials on issues related to traffic, growth of transportation alternatives, and reliability of essential services.
